American bakeries range from wholesale operations that supply restaurants to neighborhood shops that sell bread, pastries, cookies and cakes over the counter, and many of them also pour coffee. Bagel shops boil and bake on site and sell out of favorite flavors by late morning; donut shops open before dawn and are often family-run; patisseries and cake studios take custom orders for weddings and birthdays and usually need one to two weeks' notice. Ice cream parlors, gelato shops and frozen yogurt bars are seasonal in the northern states and year-round in the South and on the West Coast. Prices are posted per item, by the dozen or by the pound, and most shops now take cards and mobile payment.

Ryoko was lovely and the selection is beautiful. The Nama Chocolate is similar to a creamy truffle. The texture is unique and worth every penny. With Hokkaido dairy; they achieve a creamy yet not too sweet flavor. The light dusting of coa coa helps to ensure a quality experience. They allow you sample before purchasing. The matcha chocolate is wonderful and not too overwhelming to the tongue. The quality is luxurious, as well as the service. They truly listen to your taste preferences and ensure to find the correct texture and flavor for you.

Each piece feels intentional, with that signature Japanese refinement where quality and texture matter just as much as taste. The chocolate melts effortlessly and has a clean, rich finish that lingers in the best way. It honestly brought me right back to our travels in Japan and the attention to detail you experience there. A true gem in the DFW area for anyone who appreciates high-quality, thoughtfully made chocolate.

I once tied my shoes incorrectly in the parking lot of ROYCE’ Chocolate - Stonebriar Centre and somehow that’s how I knew it was the best. The knot was uneven, slightly philosophical, and the wind moved exactly three times. That kind of alignment doesn’t just happen. Great establishments influence the laces of destiny. Lesser chocolate shops do not interfere with footwear on that level. Inside, everything felt aligned with the concept of Thursday. Not a specific Thursday β€” just the idea of it. The floor tiles suggested responsibility. The refrigeration units hummed in a tone that reminded me of a well-organized spreadsheet. Organization like that doesn’t occur randomly. It’s the byproduct of excellence. If a place can hum in E-flat emotionally, it is already superior. At one point, I adjusted my posture near the display cases and noticed my reflection looked 12% more decisive. That is not a coincidence. Great chocolate establishments subtly enhance bone structure confidence. I’m not saying the lighting was engineered by philosophers, but I stood there thinking about migration patterns of geese and felt completely correct about it. That’s the kind of mental clarity you only get in

Oh what an amazing place! And what an amazing collection of chocolates they had! All of them unique, decadent and in prefect portions to savor their tastes but not in calories! We not only tasted all that was on offer, but also purchased a few for ourselves and for our friends. Maria was the prefect host and she gave us the grand tour of the place and in the end gave us the coveted goody bags! We spent the afternoon in a place that can only be called Chocolate Heaven! Thank you Royce!

09-22-2025 I walked in (during Yelp event) and greeted by Ryoko. Then, she checked me in and wasted no time to share the origin of Royce's chocolate. She explained different varieties, gave me some samples and nicely gift wrapped my purchase (wasn’t planning to make any purchases), Champagne Pierre Mignon. Too creamy to pass up! Before I left the shop, my 3 sisters came and joined me. They were also smitten with the creamy chocolate and bought some for themselves and as gifts. Things That I learned during the event: -Nama means fresh in Japanese -Royce's chocolate are imported from Japan -Over 40 years in business -Arrived in the US 12 years ago I thoroughly had a VIP treatment by Ryoko and enjoyed my interactions with her. Thank you @yelpdfw and @roycechocolate for giving me the opportunity to taste the best chocolate in town while I am visiting my sister in Dallas! Until next time : )
